Meet Sarah Wilson: Your Dedicated Coach and Business Owner

Life is a journey, and we understand the struggles of navigating it. Sarah’s personal experiences have shaped her into a Leadership Coach, dedicated to helping others on an individual basis and, as a Social Housing Consultant, being part of change on a greater level. Sarah worked in Homelessness and Social Housing for 15+ years, working from frontline Housing Management, progressing up in the business to Policy, training, mentoring, facilitation. When she left Social Housing, she moved to social care as National Policy Lead until she opened her business in 2020.

“I’ve been supporting women to quell Imposter Syndrome and become more confident in order to progress in their careers with great results. I’m now heading back to my roots in Social Housing to help support SHPs to overcome the challenges of diversity equity at leadership levels, so I can create significant change on a wider level.

I wanted to find out why there is not better diversity at decision maker levels within Housing Associations. So, I started my own research and I’m finding that the main issues are around confidence, lack of clear pathway setting out how people can progress and toxic cultures where it’s a “postcode lottery” to see whether the manager you get allows you to develop and progress beyond the team or not.”

With a passion for singing, I’m a member of the national Rock Choir and love walks with the dogs and my hubby, now my kids have left home. Like you, I had challenges to overcome, growing up and stories that didn’t serve me in adult life. Now my life is the polar opposite of what it was.
